A Blessing Indeed
I will say definitely not, and that too particularly for the State of Kerala.
Why ??????
It’s 8.11 % unemployment rate for the country as on April 2023 and there will not be much difference in Kerala too.
That means arround 2800000 people are there in Kerala with out any jobs. So they find their own easy money making through all means of drug peddling, and what not.
To make them responsible good citizens, definitely they need training in terms of academics , culture and humanitarian behaviour.
Now after Erumeli airport is also in place , then we will have 5 airports for such a small state.
Definitely it is going to leverage our children to come on a Friday evening and return by Sunday evening or Monday morning, if we create a good environment of honest and caring behaviour from all sectors of life, right from vegetable venders , autorickshaw drivers, head load workers etc(with out noku kooli), to attract our young generation back to their holiday homes in their natives. Then this study abroad will became a great blessing for the country than a menace.
Whether it’s a menace or blessing all depend up on our politics and leadership.
Preventing students from going abroad is in another way, a kind of genocide of creative working class in the country. Then we will be creating a lot of parasites eating on others sweat , and lawless miscreants.
So best way is to open the doors and let them flow freely all over the world, and create their own global identity.
Let us create a solemn , serene environment at all levels to attract them back, than to repel them with all Hartals , Noku Kooli, bribery or communalism.
